What's hysterical is a good majority of these 'die-hard Americans' don't know the difference between 'America the Beautiful' and 'The Star-Spangled Banner'. Just another reason I refuse to use Twitter, ever.

I really laugh at those people who think that English is the official language of the USA. Our country has no declared official language and English is just the accepted common language now. In fact the California state constitution is written in both English and Spanish. I'm more offended by the fact that these "patriots" don't know any history of the United States of America.

Except...it wasn't the National Anthem in the Coke commercial. It was a song whose lyrics were written by Katherine Lee Bates, a woman commonly thought to be a lesbian...who left the Republican Party because of their objection to the League Of Nations, the precursor to the United Nations.

As for what my father (Pacific, WWII), uncle (Korea) and others would have thought, I'm pretty sure they'd have no issue with the foreign languages. My paternal grandparents came thru Ellis Island in 1904 and spoke no English...

Believe it or not, this is true in many species. The less intelligent one is, the more one requires a large support group. By forming close knit bonds with other people and rejecting "outsiders" one makes survival possible when you're too dumb to figure out how to make fire or tools. They may not have blasters, but those Ewoks will sure f*#^ you up because there are a billion of them.

Wow, just wow. As a Brit i've often seen eloquent and well mannered Americans on the internet conversing with everyone else in the world only for one to say something "we saved the world" or "hey why don't you thank me for saving your country during world war two" (seriously I've seen this one) and once riled or backed into a corner simply repeats "because America, fuck yeah you communist". Its unfortunate in that hopefully they are so few, they do shout the loudest. I've had a few mixed words with some American friends, the same as German, Dutch, Polish, French, etc... friends.

But its stuff like this that makes other countries shake their heads and say "did he really just say that?".

Other countries have, erm, shall we say people of a shallower gene pool than others but I think America is more known for it because these people have access to the internet and ways of getting their opinions across, where as even in the U.K. where I live in someone thought something like this. We'd tell them to stop being a stupid dickhead and to shut the hell up and f*** o**. When others see these videos, etc... some people take it that its true being they've seen it on tv and so it must be true and accept it as their views because it doesn't like a lot of thought to accept what someone is saying compared to coming up with your own view and opinion.

I honestly do like our cousins from across the pond but there is always that loud person that makes you want to scream.
