Today I got approval for a major project, which is the reason I was hired and moved from sunny/warm Arizona to this icy hell! In a pretty awesome mood because of it, and it also means I should be getting to do some traveling before too long. Germany, here I come! For taking time to listen to my rambling; enjoy this tofu delivery panda, spotted on a back country road in
Japan
Ireland. (fixed: Thanks, Rory Farrell!)

Good work! Hoping my company sends to Germany soon too. You know for work stuff, not 'ring stuff.

Nice haha. Well I do work for a major automotive company, so maybe I can convince them that a trip to the 'ring is vital to my project. lol

But probably not. haha

The head office is close to the 'ring for my company. But rental cars are crazy expensive around there, wonder why?

Probably has to do with the all around tighter motoring regulations, I'd guess. Unfortunately, both the offices I'd be likely to visit are 3 and 4 hours (respectively) away from the 'ring. :( One day... haha

Thanks! Love me a Hachi. Saving for a drift project right now (target starting date of this summer) and really hoping to find a good deal on an AE86.

Sweet. Always love old school JDM. Good-luck on your search!! Maybe bring one over during your travels!

So where will you be staying, in the South? Doesn't matter anyway, just get your gear up on a weekend for some ' Touristenfahrten '. You'll never forgive yourself for not going there, believe me.

I will be in either Friedrichshafen or Schweinfurt, or both. If the time is there, I am definitely going to try to get out there. Luckily, the company is headquartered in Germany and travel to there is fairly common in my department. So even if I can't make it during my first trip, there will definitely be more trips and opportunities to come.

While your at it: It's only an hour driving to Sankt Anton from Friedrichshafen if you're into skiing/snowboarding/Mooserwirt! Best wintersports-area of Austria.

I do snowboard, but I have a strong feeling that there won't be a whole lot of down time on this trip. Fingers crossed though haha Otherwise, just gonna have to take a vacation to Germany :D

I have no doubt you will enjoy Germany. I have a lot of family there and love visiting every few months !
Also great choice of Picture. Juicebox are a brilliant site for Irish car culture (my cousin did work for them I am obliged to say that).
The 86 there actually a well known replica of Takumi's car here in Ireland. Sad thing is after the shoot, the new owner resprayed it. I heard he may have changed a lot on it too .. not sure.

Nice! Went to Ireland back in June, loved it there. Can't wait to get back! And I can't really blame him for the respray, I love to see a pandaed 86, but I can certainly appreciate wanting to make it your own style and separate it from the Initial D scene. If (more hopefully, when) I get an 86, I'm probably not gonna go with the full on Fujiwara treatment. haha
