I'm still waiting... Have no clue who should've sent me something, what I know is that NipponBanzai went awol from Oppo the same day I sent my gift to him. I'm not mad, but I AM a tad disappointed...

I have sent some music to a couple of fellow Opponauts, I hope they get it soon. I will also donate some money in the name of Oppo, to some sort of charity... I give a flying F about me getting a gift, but if you sign up for something, be a grown up and stick to it.

I'm not overly pleased either. I put a shit ton of thought and effort into my gift and sent it out. The next day I get an envelope from some company with a couple stickers inside. Didn't even buy them and do something interesting with them for me, just shipped it straight from the internet to my house. Great personal touch -.-

I must admit that I did not make something VERY spesific for my giftee, but he likes Swedish cars, so I went from Norway to Sweden and bought some Bburago models.. both Saab and Volvo.. I really do not care about what I get or IF I get anything, but if you can't send me anything, please tell me.

This sucks, sorry to hear this.

At the beginning I was wondering if or who would get screwed in the deal. Its blind trust that you participate in something and you should get something in return, even just a little something, but nothing at all is a dick move. An explanation should be in order.

#1 rule of Oppo: Don't be a dick

As I said, I don't mind if the other person don't have the funds to give something, I just wish he/she would've told us. Just a postcard would've been awesome really. :)

I didn't participate in Secret Senna, but in Secret Santa at my uni. Picked a girl I didn't know and since I didn't want to give her a random gift I decided to compose and record an overly cheesy 1980's pop song for her. Took me two weeks all in all. Good song too.

The person who picked me however, decided to give me nothing at all which also left me a bit disappointed. It's a christmas themed prisoners dilemma y'all!

You recorded a song for her? Dude.. that is AWESOME. Forget about whoever should've given you something, you have so much karma points that it'll last you a lifetime.

Yeah I guess so. The cool surprise was actually when some random person at Uni started humming the song next to me. She showed it around and loved it apparently!

I got a great gift, a vintage Peugeot 505 turbo S ad laminated (a one year only car in the US), and I got someone who is into tanks, so I made him a gingerbread replica of his favorite. I never heard or saw anything about it, actually havent even seen him on OPPO for while. I thought it was pretty witty but who knows, and it was a pretty damn good replica in the gingerbread fashion. Though I left the icing swastikas off it :) Kind of the beauty of it is noone knows, and noone has to

I saw that ad, it was glorious :) And I guess it was a good idea to leave the swastikas out on your part :P

it greets everyone who comes into my office. It was glorious.

Think something might have happened with international shipping?

Something could've happened. I've told Alex that he should contact the person who had me as a giftee and see...

Who was it? Tell me on that other social media thing; if you wanna private that stuff.

You know I'll fight 'em if they're within arms reach. For you, I'd go like two arms or three.

Oddly enough, I know I mailed out gifts for three people (one Secret Senna, two others)...

I know that two of the packages arrived. I guess a lot of posts got buried or not shared, because I had to go digging in order to verify things were delivered and posted about. I was quite concerned, but relieved to see most got delivered. Overall, it wasn't horribly organized for a first time. With years I'm sure it will get better. I would volunteer to assist next year, as long as I'm not exempt from the giving/receiving. Too important really. Two people running it would help, and having a set of rules, such as providing those in charge with a tracking number, or scan of receipt from post office/shipping service, etc etc. Weather did affect a fair number of people involved, but it's understandable as long as it gets carried through with.
