!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! But you did not put a Turbo I5 nor a turbo I6 in it, it is automatic only and FWD. Really? I could have forgiven any one of the above, but all 3 seems a waste of a good wagon.

... I just died a little. What the hell, Volvo. Don't turn into Toyota!

Volvo has you covered, as they do produce a turbo i6 AWD version of the V70, or at least they have done, as i have driven one with that setup. So it's not Volvo, it's the customer originally ordering this example, that needs your ire.

The currently produce a T6 AWD V60, I have yet to find an example of a V70 from this vintage with T6 and AWD.

you can add Polestar to it :] Before the 3.2 takeover, I did work on some AWD V70's. They were hella rare though. Just like AWD S80's in non V8. The XC70 is just such a perfect vehicle. One day i'll sell all my jalopies and get a brand spanking new XC70 T6 plus Polestar. Comfy, amazing chassis, drives very well in all possible conditions, safe as balls, powerful, and best of all.... master lease program or employee discount yaay :]

Why not get a V70R?

I would so rock the XC70, but the ride height is too tall my wife would not be able to safely transfer in and out from her wheelchair. And I really would prefer not to lower the suspension aftermarket.

Rare, expensive, reliability nightmare...not just oh the AC keeps crapping out it's the very expensive Haldex AWD system likes to implode.

little inside tech tip, the control arms are interchangeable and so are the springs :] A client of ours that owns a Volvo dealer alternative did it on his XC70. Also, we do have a V60 R-design on order to our store. T-"6" AWD. Will post Automatch Bait when it arrives. All we have is one V60 T-"5" FWD but with all the options. $45,000 ish. Sport seats are incredible.

I sat in a T5 AWD at a mall not long ago...I think I would buy that car just on the seats alone....but definitely holding out till I have the monies for a V60 R. I'm surprised I haven't seen any mag reviews yet.

Why no V50? Could be had in AWD T5 manual if you look hard enough.

They are pretty nice and one pops up every now and again, but usually too far away or too many miles...as if I am in the market to buy now. Perpetual window shopper. :/

No worries. I do the same thing. My current obsession is with trucks. Specifically Frontiers.

I've bought one (V50 T5 AWD MT) for the mrs. 2 years ago. Sure rides well but not spectacular roadholding, it's quite heavy. Great tourer though:
