I reserved a Mustang GT from Hertz at DFW. This is how the conversation went when I arrived.
Employee #1: "OK sir, that's a Penske Mustang, correct?"
"No... but I'll take it."
Employee #2: "Must be a mistake, check if there are any GTs available."
"Don't check too hard..."
Employee #2: "No GTs, would you like a Camaro? They're the same." [!!!!!]
Me: "I really wanted a Mustang..."
This is such a juvenile car but amazing fun. I could happily have just sat in a parking lot and turned it on and off for a few hours....

I wanted to fly out to Vegas, hope for a Hertz lot with the Hertz Mustang, and then gun it to Pasadena for BCS Championship.

It was brilliant, the first lady was just like "whatever, it's a Mustang, you can have it" - not sure she really knew what it was (or how little I paid).
The second guy was trying to give me anything else... Offered me a BMW and then a Cayman which was a little tempting but I'm glad I got this.

Cayman or Mustang, Whew tough choice. I would have a hard time picking but I would settle on Cayman. In so many ways they say its better than the 911 and the 911 997 is amazing. How is that even possible to be better.

I've been thinking about buying an (older) Cayman S so I was tempted, but I'm from the UK, so Mustangs and such are forbidden fruit and I couldn't turn it down.

Tried to rent one here. Another Oppo reader saw them at the airport. When I called they said they were on their way to Texas. Totally bummed. The clerk I talked to was cool though, he said "Yeah, I wanted to thrash it for a day, too".
