I just had one of the weirdest experiences of my life last night.

I had woken up for some reason and I was just laying in my bed when I feel a cold sensation take hold of me and I find myself closing my eyes and hearing the faint whispers of a woman trying to tell me something, but I can't make out what because it feels like I've been submerged in water. I wake up and I find myself downstairs watching tv, wondering how in the hell did I get here? I feel incredibly tired but I'm strangely compelled to keep watching cartoons. The air is teeming with what feels like static and the color begins to fade out of the room before I feel a hand push my head forward and I black out. Suddenly I'm dreaming again, this time a slide show of what looks like some friends having a get together at their house. The slide show dream freezes on the final frame and everyone just turns to me with a malevolent gaze and suddenly I'm awake again, this time in bed and my lamp is on.
I reach for my phone on my nightstand when suddenly I notice that some of the diecast cars I have on display have been rearranged. I put the phone down after checking the time, it's 4:55 AM and just as I'm about to sit up, I feel a strange force push me down to my bed. The air is once again bristling with static and I hear the sound of a horse trotting outside my window. The static ceases and I stand up and look out my window, nothing except a couple of cars parked out on the street. No one in my neighborhood owns a horse and this is a gated community so there wouldn't be any strangers passing through on horseback, let alone at five in the morning. There's no way I'm going back to sleep so I put my model cars back in the order they were in and spend the rest of the morning reading, until now.

I've had sleep paralysis before, but I've never in my life sleep walked until now. I was actually downstairs the first time I woke up.

Oh, I must have read it wrong. I thought you were posting that you dreamed that whole thing.

Yeah, sleep walking terrifies me a lot more than sleep paralysis, thankfully I've never had it.

First time in my life that it ever happened to me. Creepy sleep paralysis hallucinations I can deal with but waking up somewhere else after one.

NOPE

After the water dream, I woke up to find myself watching Boomerang I think? Then I phased out again and after the slide show dream I was awake in my bed before the paralysis hit.

I feel paranoid now about driving off in my sleep, I have no idea why this happened.

Son of a bitch.

Sleep paralysis can be a bitch, haven't had one in months but they've been a part of my life for yeeaaaaaaaaaars of every day waking up in the middle of the night thinking some demons/robbers/animals are trying to kill me. Waking up somewhere else is super creepy though... good luck.

I sleepwalk sometimes. I've gotten used to it. I've woken up in the living room, in another building, standing up with my head against a door, you name it. Hasn't happened in years, though. I used to do it a lot more when I was a kid.

This is the first time in my entire life that I've sleepwalked and it's made altogether worse by that fact that I was experiencing a hypnagogic hallucination in the process.

Damn that was scary.

I've had plenty of dreams that have given me the illusion of being awake and getting out of bed, doing stuff in the house (occasionally with weird stuff going on in the background) and then woken up for real, unable to tell if I was really walking about the house.

Have you been suffering from anxiety or disturbed sleep patterns? Either way, it is nothing to worry about as long as it doesn't become a regular thing.

I've never had that, though I have had episodes where I've responded to people and they thought I was awake. Once, I was sleepwalking looking through the house for something and it woke up my older sister. She asked what I was looking for, and all I kept repeating was "I CAN'T FIND THE BUTTON!" She says I looked for another minute and then just lied down and went back to sleep.

In order to lighten the mood, I will tell of one of my brothers sleep walking adventures: Once he got up, slept walked, left the room me and him shared, proceeded to the kitchen where on one side there is a staircase to go downstairs. He then pissed down the stairs!

I did wake up downstairs, I was sitting watching Boomerang. I watched for a while before I dozed off again and ended upstairs again.

I'm mostly nocturnal, sleeping from 1:00AM to 10:00AM.

Anxiety comes and goes sometimes but nothing out of this world.
