Here I am, on Oppo, when I should be spending time with my family, which is a waste of time because we never do; I was having more fun hanging out with friends and I was forced to come back home before some of my mom's family(who I don't care for), and I never even did, because I don't care to spend time with them at all because we never even spend time together anyways, what the hell is the point of my being at home when I could actually be enjoying myself elsewhere??

Yay 2015, my ass. If it's any consolation, this is my last rant of 2014.

I stayed home from a really excellent party and am up with my 2 year old who has the flu and can't stop coughing. It get's a lot worse than what you are doing, trust me.

Join the club. All my friends are back in Indiana having a party and I'm 1200 miles away on a mountain surrounded by my family (who annoy me to death) and family friends (none who I like). I got yelled at earlier because I told my parents Im an introvert and I don't like being around people. Oh, and the girlfriend is out getting drunk and I'm not entirely pleased about that because I'll have to deal with that later. I'm just tired of everybody and just want to be alone.

Oh, fuck. When I was in my late teens, I did not know the whole introvert/extrovert thing and liked to hole up in my room away from people. Then family would come by and mom would say "You have guests." Uh, no you have guests; I didn't invite them over.

They actually yelled at you for being an introvert? or was it the not wanting to be around people part?

I hate the forced march. So many holidays destroyed spending it with family that at best you are on good terms with but have no common interests; at worst, you don't get along with them at all. You get subjected to this under the guise of "They're family" (like that makes getting treated like shit OK) or "This might be [continuously aging, yet still lingering relative]'s last Christmas." Yeah, and? I could get hit by a fucking bus - is anyone going to say "That poor guy had so many holidays fucked up because he had to kow tow to other family members' manipulative horseshit." Fortunately, we're past the holidays for a while, now....
