Nissan is fucking stupid for not selling the Micra down here. It already meets US standards since it meets Canadian standards, and we're still in a depression (sorry, but low-wage part-time jobs != "recovery"), so low-priced brand new cars will help out a lot!

canadian automotive standards are usually more lax than their us counterparts. ABS is not mandatory here.

CMVSS almost = FMVSS

DRL's are mandatory up there but not down here. And the ABS example you mention. But for the most part, they're very similar.

And that four-digit Micra has ABS.
