I'm not 100% sure how but I fixed it! Little red trunk button didn't need a press so unplug/replug, unsuccessful crank, jumper cables from sisters Aveo to stang, then she starts right up. I'm thinking either A) it took a few cranks to get fuel back through the lines or B) I tripped the theft protection with my broken key.
Crap.
It's too dark, too wet, and too cold to deal with it so I'm gonna distract myself with some NFS:MW. just hoping it's not the fuel pump
Dammit, why does this happen when I'm hundreds of miles away from the rest of my tools?

If the fuel pump won't cycle, check the inertia switch first. Pretty common on Fords.

Little red switch in the trunk? Wouldn't be the first time

Yessir that's the one.
It's meant to cut fuel in an accident. They can trip if you throw something in the truck, something rolling around back there, etc. Or, in my experience, magic.

I'll be sure to check it out tomorrow; have been putting a lot of crap in the trunk so maybe something got knocked or unplugged. tks for the reminder!

Yup stuff in the trunk is likely the culprit. If something rolls around and give it a hit it will trip. The switch is there in case of an accident so you don't die a fiery death.
