The Lexus RX series. It is soul-less and uninspired. A pretentious transportation appliance for those who care enough to want to display an air of prestige whilst not actually caring about cars at all. It has literally no redeeming quality as an automobile - it gets poor gas mileage without actually being fast or powerful, rides poorly without handling well or maintaining a large load capacity, the steering is vague and uncommunicative in the worst possible ways, the brakes are utter garbage. I find the controls to be awkward and unintuitive, the interior to be cold, sterile and uncomfortable yet putting up a front of faux luxury. It also suffers from a poor layout and is thus more cramped and has less cargo capacity than other vehicles of comparable size. It's an over-weight, tarted up Camry that someone paid too much money for.

2008+ Range Rover. The L322 MKIII Range Rover was a marked improvement over the sedate 90s styled P38 (MKII) that succeeded the Classic (MKI). It brought back the basic squareness of the MKI with updated internals (No more Buick V8/Lucas electronics. All BMW inside). However, once 2008 rolled around they 'facelifted' the car and removed the squareness that harkened back to the epitome of SUVs—The MKI Range Rover. 35 years later it's still an iconic look. Then when they made the MKIV Range Rover they took the facelift look to a new extreme of 'this will never see dirt ever' look. It's just a fugly front. The rear looks nice but the entire front is horridly ugly.

Kinja'd!!!

MKI Perfection.

Kinja'd!!!

Range Rover went through the 90s kinda dull modernization phase.

Kinja'd!!!

Brings back the look of the MKI just with a much better engine/everything.

Kinja'd!!!

WHYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!! Too many curves!

Kinja'd!!!

I don't like the front.

However, I adore the internals/lighter weight of the MKIV, if only it wasn't so goddamn ghetto.

Going to have to go with the Prius. Toyota used build some of the best cars in the world, most were even fun. Now, even though they still make some fun vehicles, that image has been replaced by a green leaf and a fucking Prius.

I have only driven 2 models of car: Volvo V70R/XC70, and MKI/MKII Range Rover. I know too much about them because I have spent too much time under the hood of each. The 5 cylinder Volvo is the best. I want a MKIII because it has a modern BMW V8.

There are IMHO 3 types of Range Rover owner (not including people who buy Land Rovers , they're different):

The person who buys them new and gets rid of them when the warranty expires.

The person who buys them after the warranty expires for 'status' can't afford to maintain them.

The person who buys them cheap (I paid more for the V70R than the Range Rover) and does all the maintenance themselves.

Mileage matters when buying a used Range Rover—More is better

Corollas that were built in the last 15 years
Minivans
Crossovers
some SUVs

All generally have morons who barely passed drivers ed behind the wheel.

I also don't much care for late model Honda products. Overrated and overhyped.

I have a hard time "Hating" a car. Every car has its redeeming traits. does that mean I would buy just any car? no, but I don't hate them. I will admit to hating some styling trends and specific features though.

I can almost tolerate them in the early MKIII ones because they add some contrast and don't look that bad.

They're reliable

They're fuel efficient

My friend scared the crap out of me with hers.....

The current Generation isn't actually unpleasent to look at...

They're great city cars, I would consider one as my DD when I get out of school.

1st generation SRX; because crossover, because hearse, because it's like they lifted the front from every mid-2000s Cadillac and plopped it on the booty of a Ford Expedition. It should have been a proper wagon, instead it was an exercise in design by committee. Who actually bought these?

I can't disagree with the points on the RWD and the V8 if anything that just makes me hate it more; for all the potential it had, and for how its designers bowed to the pressure of the crossover market. That and its ugly mug. Also, the Ford Freestyle (another favorite to hate) is apparently its fraternal twin.

any late model Toyota Corolla / Camry & all Prius

driven by cretins who shouldn't have a fucking license , driving 5-10km/h under speed limit , getting in your way on freeways , hitting the wrong pedals knocking down pedestrians (Sydney - yesterday , 80yo in white Camry knocked down 3 - 1 was an infant.)

the drivers if they show up to buy them , need to be taken out the back of dealership & SHOT!

I hate it because it's the start to an inevitable future. A future where the Dinosaur that is the gas guzzling V8 will be long extinct. A future in which cars don't make rude noises, and don't let you sing to redline.

You know, I'll probably get hanged for saying this, but I really don't care for Mustangs much at all. They have this huge mystique built up around them, but the ones I've been in just haven't been that thrilling. Cheap power? Absolutely. Something I would own? Not so far. I drove an '05 GT, and I've ridden in another bare bones one (same body style, no idea what year or trim level), and neither of them seemed any more interesting than my Taurus. I really want to believe in an inexpensive, relatively quick car, but the Mustang just hasn't done it for me so far. That, and there are about twelve billion of them on the road, which doesn't help things.

Ok, I'm gonna have to go with the `12-present Honda Civic...

They went with the trend of just updating a car and calling it "all-new", a trend that I hate with a passion, and then they just blatantly made it MUCH WORSE than the old one...

I had an 07 Coupe and it was one of the best cars I've ever owned, it was deadly sophisticated and very good looking, drove really well and in general was one of the most pleasant places to be, it made traffic bearable no matter what...

Then my friend bought a 12 Coupe and I was so disappointed with the car, they just ruined a car that I loved, all in the interest of making it cheaper to build (and then charged an "all-new car" premium for the new one).

Also, they changed the Si's Engine from the glorious and revvy K20 to the K24, killing the last exciting and truly great Honda car in the process, and for that someone deserves to burn in hell

VW Touareg, or as I like to call it, the Toerag. One of the most unreliable POS I've ever seen emerge from VW. My godfather had one - the air suspension failed on a weekly basis. A family friend also had one - upon accelerating away from a toll booth, one of the driveshafts snapped. Expensive repairs and expensive upkeep add to the misery.

Kinja'd!!!

Alfa Romeo Arna - this was supposed to be a happy marriage between Nissan and Alfa Romeo. The potential was great - Italian style with Japanese reliability. Problem is, it was done the other way around. What the world ended up with was a terribly bland Nissan Cherry, with Alfasud electrics.

Kinja'd!!!

Originally, I would've tried to qualify the Prius, but then I realised that I hated their radical owners more than the car itself.
