I think that's pretty much the only concept Daimler ever showed that was compelling enough to justify Maybach's continued existence.

So. Much. Want.
Isn't this capable of some bonkers limits like nearly 200?
If so, I would buy it, goes that speed exactly once, and then promptly park it when the doctors had removed the car from my sphincter.

"bonkers limits like nearly 200"
I don't think 200 qualifies as an insane speed any more. Won't be long before pickup trucks can do it.

I think the 200MPH barrier will always stand as a measure - just like quarter mile and 0-60 times. Are they really relevant anymore?
I know I throw a bunch of these green paper Benjamin Franklin pictures down the toilet in pursuit of 200MPH....

0-200 times may stay relevant, but just achieving the speed in itself won't be forever.
There was a time a car was lethally fast if it could do 80. Now we have roads where that's the cruising speed.

It'll be quite a feat for a typical electric car, though.

I don't know: You've got a lot of torque to work with, and for top speed you don't have to worry much about weight.
I think we don't see high top speeds on electric cars because range is still the absolute most important characteristic.

Ever since I played Mafia on the PS2, i've lusted over the Phantom Corsair. It's pretty much a Cord 812 with a horrific turning radius.
HFV has no HFV. But somehow has 2 motorcycles

these wheels look so wrong on this car.

And the (one of) only reason for it to be build was to... test tires at high speed for German tires manufacturer Fulda. The full name of the car being the Fulda Maybach Exelero.
BTW, the Exelero hit a speed of 218.3 MPH on the Nardo oval, but we don't even know if it is the actual top speed of the car :) In a car that weighs more than 5,800 lbs !

It reached 218.3 mph on the Nardo test track in Italy. It was build so it could safely reach 350 km/h (217.5 mph), that was the goal.
Did I mention the car weighs more than 5800 lbs ? Which is more than your average pick-up truck ?
