This is one of those rare times that I regret venturing out without the iPotato.
I'll preface this with the fact that I'm pondering selling the Taco and wondering how much I can reasonably expect to get in its condition. So seeing the Blazer was a bit surprising...
I saw an ad posted in a shop window for a 1986 S-10 Blazer, 5 speed, V6, lowered, miles unknown. Looked to be in OK shape based on the one side-view picture. But the price: $4800 (actually, it was an odd number, like $4835 or something) seemed shockingly high. No special mods were noted and it certainly wasn't a show car. Also, this wasn't one of those cool models where you could take the back off (like the C10 Blazers), either. Are these things super rare, or something? Or is someone just aiming high to see what he can get?
[I did check the List of Criaigs to see if it was there for purposes of NPoCP, but alas....]

Nope - those were the first things I looked for. B'sides, I think we all know that "C" would not command such a high asking price...

V6, 5-speed Blazers are pretty rare, but it'd have to be totally mint/low mileage to approach that price.

Lowered, at least for me, would be a problem. Does the price include the stock suspension pieces? What else has been replaced that could affect reliability. Like every here is saying - mint, miles below ... 40K? to be worth that much?

Actually I wondered if it was a Typhoon, but then I realized those came along a bit later...

nope, they have the 2.8 liter v6 that is a complete dog of an engine, not enough power to get out of it's own way. If it was an 88 or newer with the 4.3 and in great shape with low miles it might be worth close to that.

I shall have you know that the 2.8 had 140 horsepower. 140 throbbing, sweaty, bloated, panting, cramping horsepower.
ETA: Agreed on the 4.3. I had one in my boat and due to the weight savings, it actually performed better than the optional 5.7...

I had an 86 and it was a complete turd. The 4.3 S10s are actually quite nice to drive. You're right they make great boat engines too.

Did Steve Tyler of Aerosmith conceive his Hollywood actress daughter Liv in the back?

Well, there was some mention of tossing in a pack of "Lysol Disinfecting Wipes" so that could be a possibility...

I want both
The Jesus Car can probably fly and do other cool things
And Megan Fox would be nice too
