What presents sadden you that you had to leave at home?
When I was a kid I used to HATE the day/week after Christmas because all the cool toys I got I had to leave behind, thankfully I am an adult now, and all I got for the holidays was a hubcap and a pillow.
Oh and gift cards.
But the pillow and hubcap are really cool so I do kinda miss them. No I will not elaborate. Okay, maybe later I will since it's a fucking BORING ASS DAY at work since everyone else is still at home playing with presents.

we have a whole bunch of random work we are doing today since ZERO cars are going to come in. Mostly organizing, moving shit around, and cleaning. Phone does ring occasionally though.

I'm back in the office, but my lone gift was a kick ass travel mug, so it came with me!

My new hood emblem(s) because the old one's clip broke in place and now I can't put a new hood emblem on. :(

Well I'm feeling pretty lucky right now. I basically got 4 presents. The early present to myself was my Volvo, which I drove to work for the first time this morning, two others were specifically for decorating my desk at work. My little RC helicopter was the only present I had to leave at home today.

My new Doctor Who little Lego guys. I was playing with them at home for hours, then had to go to work. :-(

Usually the hardest ones to walk away from were new video games and Lego.

I got a keychain/pendant War Machine Lego guy. I suppose I technically *could* have brought him in to work...
(Looks mostly like this, but is actually a knockoff - he was sent to me from South Korea).

My wee 'uns. I didn't get to many usable presents for Christmas, but I had a ball playing with the girls in the new snow.

I got the Nick Frost/Simon Pegg trilogy (The End of the World, Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz). Do I kind of wish I was home on my butt watching them? Yes. Yes I do.

We always tend to get the people who got $$$ for presents calling or coming in for the stupidest accessories. Shop is somewhat busy though, but not as much as we expected.

yeah there is work in the shop from earlier in the week and yes the same with the calls. Accessory rubber floor mats and trunk mats is the hot ticket today. "How much are floor mats...how much are floor mats... HOW MUCH ARE FLOOR MATS!"

Shit, I gave out pricing for trailer hitches and aluminum foot rest pedals already. Mats are hot the rest of the year 'round here.

Some of Mazda's are up near $800-$1000 once you figure in labor. Nuts. CX-5's are the only reasonable ones, around $600 with wiring and labor and tax and all that jazz. That's the one I just quoted, and the only hitch we've ever stocked.

see that is a reasonable high price. Anything above that is too damn much.

I'm not back to work til Monday, but my work secret Santa got me an awesome Borg drone figurine. It's a "Skele-Trek," so it kinda looks like a skeleton. I love Star Trek and I love desk toys, so it's going right back with me to the office. ^_^

I missed my new HP Chromebook (that I'm currently using)
While I assumed that I would have a really slow day, it was made better by using a Powerstroke F-250 to pick up six tires (total overkill but 400 hp is awesome)
It got worse when I had to put those six tires on a dually and then do an alignment on said dually.

How is the HP? I have an Acer Chromebook and its been rock solid (if a bit flimsy). Only issue I have with it is it does not recognize my dashcam's file format, so I have to use a Windows laptop to edit video clips.
That, and the lack of a torrent client, if I were into such things....

I think the HP is awesome. It does exactly what I've wanted it to do so far. It's really fast on the web and it works nicely for my Ford training tests. While it's not the highest resolution computer I think the screen does look really good. I have the new version of the 14 with the Nvidia processor.
