Christmas bonus came in. I'm old. My life requirements are changing. Time to replace my SR5 AE86 with a more practical sedan, larger coupe with back seats, or wagon. Ideally, I'd want a 4 door or back seat equipped shooting brake Miata, but since those don't exist... Airbags and anti-lock brakes are required. I'm willing to pay a bit of a premium (same $10k price limit) for something reliable and without too many miles. Automatic transmissions actually preferred as this is a potential "996 self preservation" purchase.
Can Oppo find anything on my local Craigslist? If not, can Oppo come up with a way to justify purchasing this given my girl cannot drive a stick, and I don't really want to spend the money trying to maintain something like that?

Thanks!

I'd honestly consider picking that up as a restoration project if the rust was minimal and he wasn't asking so much...

Not local, but wow. Further proof that Sac and Vegas get all the nice cars while Reno is doomed to Chevy Aveos and Honda Fits.

That being said, I'd rather have the Mercedes.

It's definitely one of those issues... The cool cars from the 80s are getting harder and harder to find in any condition worth owning. So if I don't go the 190E 2.3-16 route, then I'll realistically never go the 190E 2.3-16 route. But at the same time, I bought my AE86 under that rationale and honestly have spent as much time wrenching on it as driving it. And, like I said, my girl cannot drive a stick and is unwilling to learn, so... Eh, I should at least bring cash and go test drive it, just so I can at least say I have driven one.
