Quick, based on the name, just how snooty do you think this shopping area is? Yup, you're about right. The good news about such a pricey area is that it's hard to walk 30 feet without seeing a cool car. As evidence, here are the cars I spotted in approximately an hour and a half of walking around the Plaza. Those of you who live in or near the rich parts of CA, TX, FL, etc. will be jaded to cars like this. But for someone from Omaha, a town where flaunting your money is discouraged thanks partially to a certain billionaire, this was about a months worth of cool stuff in the span of an extended lunch break.
Lovely GTC V8S. *Technically* not in a parking space, though.
One of the prettiest 991s I've seen. Absolutely stunning.
I saw two separate white Ghiblis, and a whir Quattroporte V8. Even the V6 sounds great, and I know this isn't a popular opinion, but I think it looks great too.
Pair of E46 M3s. Those wheels do not work on that car.
Another 911, with bonus Cayman.
Two stupidly fast turbo-d sedans.
I'm always at a loss for words when I hear these things. They sound so fucking good.
Only the third one of these I think I've ever seen in person. The only car I saw during my walk that I was unable to get a picture of was a brand-new 2015 S8. It pulled up in front of me, then took off before I could pull out my phone.
The car in the store, which I think is a Rolls-Royce Silver Dawn.
Yes, I know it's the Ford Explorer of Beverly Hills. But there's only a handful in my town, and I love them. Bonus Ford Explorer of everywhere else.
New M3 with bonus CTS-V. Very sexy cars.
Yes, I know it's the Ford Taurus of Beverly Hills. But there's only a handful in my town, and I love them. This one had a tan/red interior that I very much want. Also, no wimpy new 500hp V8. This thing has the 616hp, 590lbs/ft of torque W12 biturbo. This is one fast limo. Also, dat ass.

At first I thought this was a Fiero. Nope. '87-'93 Lotus Esprit.
And last but not least, a 996 Turbo leaving the gas station in Mound City.
This is a pre-post because there's not many people on Oppo on Christmas Eve, so I'll repost on Friday. Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays, Oppo!

Didn't know such snobbery existed 2 hours away from me. I70 is such a boring drive though.

I have been told that if I went at night, or during the summer, or even a week or so ago during more of the shopping rush, I would've seen way more cars.

Well, since it's a large "outdoor" mall, much more crowded I would imagine. With more sports cars and classics that don't come out in the winter.

Good for her! More people need to be less afraid of the winter in their classics.

I'm not sure which is a worse crime to the ///M name; that or the wheels on the red M3.

My uncle has one, and a Prius. 1
Nitpicking, but the Ghibli doesn't come with a V8, the S Q4 comes with a TT V6. What you probably saw was a Quattroporte, which, IMO, is hideous compared to the 2011 car's. 0
Hmmm...it was at a distance, but I heard the V8 sounds, so you're likely right. 1
Soon.... 0
he needs help! then again so does my sister in law , she owns a Camry Hybrid too. 1
never seen one of those chevys (i'm in Australia) , as for the 911 , we had one at my workplace sold it for $20k (red , non-turbo) 0
It's about as beige as a fleet car can be. 0
better or worse than a Camry? 0
As far as I know, exactly the same. 1
oh.. that good 1
I just realized that if I saw any of these cars in my area, I wouldn't even stop for a picture. Not sure how I feel, honestly :/ 0
Like I said, in a lot of bigger cities, these cars are just common runabouts of the upper classes. 1
That is a very tough one, but I'm going to go with the ///M badge. My thought is that it is expected that many m3 drivers are tasteless asses. But, if you can afford a v10 750li, you don't need to impress anyone. You win, so putting that on just means you are a shitbag who doesn't know what he's got. 1
I mean, it depresses me honestly. These are like poster-level cars, the ones people dream of even glimpsing in real life, and I'm just thinking "My neighbor/person I know has that" or "I've seen that" or just "meh". Hell, a beat-up Geo or Caprice would probably get more of a reaction out of me than a Conti or Quattroporte. I just feel very wasteful for being in the same echelon or whatever and taking it for granted. Jeez, what is in this eggnog? 0
I get it to some degree. I know people with Continentals, Granturismos, and 911s. Hell, I know people with shit you'd pay to see in a nice museum. But I still get excited about all sorts of stuff, though that's just me. 1
where's the "my other car is a bmw" bumper sticker? 0
That Bentley is so awesome. It doesn't shout about what it can really do. 0
Which one? 1
Both Flying Spurs. The rear ends, they are so simple yet so elegant.
