This is a good example of how my enthusiasm has waned.

Customers' turbo E46 M3 Comp, loads of chassis goodies, Sparcos, and so forth, in for a custom alignment & ride height set. Now I find myself asking, what was wrong with a stock one? I don't even care if I drive it, whereas 5-10 years ago I'd be chomping at the bit. Some cars are so good out of the box that I see no need for modification. This is one of them. But, to each their own, and I'm sure many of you will find it much more interesting than I. What say you?

I agree when I 1st got my cobra I had visions of building it to be a caged, stripped interior Supercharged 351w 1/4 mile missile and now I am thinking of putting it near stock and enjoying it that way.

The Stock one got double digit fuel economy. We can easily get that down into the single digits with a turbo. It would have been harder/more expensive going the NA route, but with 20 psi, 8 MPG is guaranteed with further gains to be had with a 4" downpipe.

With that said, fuck those old dinosaurs. You couldn't even keep your home planet safe, you deserve to be incinerated by comet impact and burned by advanced machinery millions of years later.

Yes, I really, really want a new machine. We get by with the old Hunter, but we're past due for an upgrade. It can't do wide-body Porsches because the heads can't see each other, and there's no longer specs available past 2009 or so on it. One limiting factor is that whatever we get has to be compact & mobile, because we don't have enough space to dedicate a rack to it at this point. A Biessbarth would be amazing.

Tastes change, nothing wrong. I went from a turbo targa top Supra with tons of mods, both exterior and under the hood to an essentially stock IS300.

I hear you, I actually learned on that same one you have there. When we upgraded, I was like, "Why didnt we do this earlier!" I remember having to come up with my own specs on certain cars because they werent stored in the machine.
