I hate that shit. As a parent, it's hard to deal with.

I want you to remember just one thing (though you probably have already gone through it and come out the other side now.) We (us, them, everyone, me, your kid, you, your wife, my wife, etc.) are the culmination of a long line of handling challenges. Trust that.. it's important to trust it. Do whatever you need to, but don't let it take you down. Your strength is the same strength that our ancestors showed in order for all of us to be here. I'd invite you to think on that (or not.. all good. Just thinking about my own experiences with 21, 18 and 12 year olds.)

Really sorry to hear that but he's in a good place. Paediatric doctors and nurses are the best doctors and nurses I've ever had the pleasure or rather indeed misfortune to deal with (if you know what I mean). I hope all is well and by next week, today is just a memory never to be repeated.
