Are you talking about the PC version or just the game in general (on all platforms)? I've never played the PC version, but I have 2012 and 2013 on Xbox 360.
I wouldn't say the 360 version is terrible (unless 2014 is worse then previous iterations) but I'd agree that it's lacking in some ways...

I have the Xbox 360 version. As racing games go, it's terrible. Buy a Gran Turismo or a Forza instead.

Oh yeah, I have Forza 4 and Horizon and they're undoubtedly better games as a whole, but I still find the F1 games somewhat enjoyable.

Yes it isn't as good as a forza game, but they also don't have this years f1 cars in forza 4. I actually think it is a decent game.
