Can't beat a good Irish whiskey. I bought myself a bottle of Bushmills to help see me through christmas.

Best served in good company that appreciates a good whiskey. Enjoy it fella.

I just got some of this stuff too. Very smooth although the taste is a touch weak for me. Still an excellent whiskey though.

Sadly, I'm more jealous of your dual monitor setup. It's far better than my 21" and 12" that I'm using. lol

Speaking of booze, I was playing poker last night and someone brought moonshine to the party. I didn't partake, but damn if that shit didn't smell like rubbing alcohol.

One of my guys may, or may not, make moonshine as a hobby, like anything, it can be good if you put some care into it.

I prefer smooth and delicate flavours in my food and drink which is why I prefer Irish whiskey over Scotch whisky. Scotch although smooth with age, in blends and regular supermarket found bottles I find a like harsh.

Just poured myself a couple of fingers as I type. Nice.

My girlfriend always says I have the taste buds of a smoker, despite having never smoked. So i go for stronger tastes usually. I enjoy irish whiskey because it is easier to drink and a little more refreshing, but I enjoy the taste of scotch more.

Out of all the cheaper, widely available whiskeys I've found Johnnie Walker Red to have the best mix of taste and smoothness.

I'm afraid I'm not a fan of American whiskeys, etc... though they do go down well on a summer day with a cola or lemonade and lime mixer.

I tend not to mix whiskey often, if I'm using mixer I usually have rum instead.

I know what you mean though, a friend of mine can only drink Irish Whiskeys without mixer. He got a bottle of Johnnie Walker because he always saw me drinking it and ending up mixing all of it with coke.

That stuff is very good. I like it (after my friends took my in hand and introduced me to scotch's over a 7 year period.)

We put together a tasting at a local restaurant and had blue, green, black and red for tasting (could get the yellow.) Blue is great, green wasn't bad. Personally, I don't need the black or red.

We also got to do some Oban 14 and Talisker 16. Some of the later details are fuzzy from that night, however.
