"CallMeTURBO" (callmeturbo)

So about a month ago I posted that I had bought an automatic '94 325i. Well finals ended like 2 weeks ago for me which means my swap began.
Full build post is coming soon, but I need time to gather all the details and sort out my annoyances in a non- ranty way. (My friend lovingly refers to them as BMtroubleU)
Anyways here's the shortlist of what has been swapped into the car
1. M50 w/ ~140k, new mounts, throttle body, starter
2. Manual trans w/ ~110 & driveshaft (auto shaft is much shorter)
3. Brand new clutch
4. New shifter, boot, knob.
5. Ripped out that annoying ass viper system (even though remote start would have been nice)
6. Swapped in wire harness from engine with blown HG cause the newer one had some questionable wiring or shit that was downright not supposed to be there
7. A THIRD PEDAL!!!!
8. ///M front bumper
9. 3.23 LSD (originally open diff)
10. Remus square tip exhaust
11. All the fluids and oil have been changed too
So yeah, all pretty exciting. There's still a few small wiring and reassembly to do but here's a shitty video from my brothers potato
(I have no clue how to make videos show up)

This is so cool. Looks pretty good so far, best of luck finishing it up.

lol Remus is junk. It's only a matter of time until the internal baffles will break off (just like the Dinan muffler)
At least it sounds decent.
This is my E36

haha probably, but the stock exhaust had 250k on it and the remus was like $200 and my friend delivered it to me (as well as spearhead the entire swap).
I will end up getting something better eventually, I like the supersprint and the Rouge.
Love dakar yellow, what kind of setup do you run for the track? The guy I bought it from put bilstien shocks on it, but I was planning on a little bit of light track duty eventually

what's Rouge? Never heard that one
but the Strömung is what I have and it's perfect...no drone, slightly louder than stock and a nice warm non-raspy tone.
I just have Koni yellows and H&R OE Sport springs with TC Kline camber plates

hmm okay cool, so have you done any major cooling systems upgrades or nah?
And here's the Rouge engineering catback . I'm a fan of a little raspy sound anyways

That's Rogue Engineering.... Rouge Engineering is not a thing
I haven't done any cooling system upgrades... It's not really needed as long as the system is in good shape with OEM parts.
I'd say the expansion tank, water pump (with composite impeller) and radiator (Behr brand or Nissesn) need to be OEM. When you go aftermarket cheap, you get burned quickly with those parts.
If you go aftermarket, stick with Zionsville, Bimmerworld for the radiator, and if you want aftermarket for the expansion tank, I'd go for Zionsville. Also, there's the possibility that you can go for the european E36 M3 expansion tank configuration, but that's a very involved process that I don't think is really worth it

awesome man, thanks for the detailed response, I'm looking into water pump upgrade soon, and the guy I bought it from just replaced the radiator with an oem one while trying to diagnose his blown HG and dead water pump.
And oh. Yeah rogue engineering, I just suck at spelling
