I feel like writing something about something. What do you all want to hear about? Don't have time to research some weird car because you're stuck at work with work to do? Let me do it for you since I'm stuck at work with nothing to do!
Here's the first thing that pops up running a GIS for "car" for your thoughts:

Given your username I'm guessing you are good at German things? I'd love to find out more about the 1974 Porsche 911 my dad had a few years ago. It was a slantnose with nicely flared rear fenders, looked a lot like a 930 and had the 3.0l engine. It also had a Rinspeed badge and Rinspeed gauges... but we could never find out much more about the kit, whether it was a dealer option or third party sendoff or what...
Real pics of the car:

If you are interested in a challenge... otherwise find something much easier to write about!!!!

What is the best way to repair door rust on an R53 Mini Cooper S. Mine has been rusting in the corner near the hinge-end on the seam between the inner door panel metal and the outer door panel. Go. Do research. Help me.

So what IS the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow?
For the sake of argument, assume European.

Also, according to t his forum , MINI has a rust warranty that extends beyond the normal warranty of the car, however it seems to be only for perforation and requires yearly underbody flushes be performed. Not sure if you qualify or not for that but something to look into. As for eliminating your rust, again, not sure of the extent, but it seems you can sand it away and prep/repaint it with rust proof stuff. Seems quite popular.
I realize that your rust is not on the sill but actually in the door its self. I couldn't find much on that, though maybe you should check the sills! Anyway, I'd think that the same process applies: sanding, repainting, rust proofing, etc.

Thanks! Yeah unfortunately I don't think that the warranty will apply to me. I don't think the previous owner paid attention to any of that.

This is a good question that is now answered by the common retort, "Just drive in Reverse." I shall look into it.

I can't believe someone actually took all of that time to do the research and complicated maths.

I can. Many Monty Python fans are nerds, extremely intelligent, and have so much time on their hands that they'd actually do this.
