What is this model C5 called...

I love these and I love notchback Fox bodies. But I can NEVER remember what they called this "notchback" model of the C5. I want to say I'm extremely sure these weren't just the ZO6s but there's always a massive chance that I'm wrong... Can anyone help me out?

I believe chevy called them Hardtop (or perhaps Hardtop Coupé).

That would be an FRC, a.k.a. Fixed Roof Coupe. Think of it as the predecessor to the C5 ZO6, since it was the most lightweight and stripped-down version C5 at the time. They only made them from '99-'00, so they're relatively uncommon.

Awesome, thanks. I think those are some of the greatest lines of all time. I really could never get over how great that deck lid looked when you took away the sloped glass.

That particular one is a zo6, and in reality all c5 zo6 were fixed roof coupes. I drove a modified c5 zo6 for a little bit and fell absolutely in love with it. But the targa top of the fast back style cars are so good too.

Chevy just referred to them as hardtops.

All C5 Z06's were hardtops, and it was an option for the base C5 vette.

No problemo. I would agree, it looks fantastic. I also am a fan of the standard hatchback C5, but the FRC is just so cool.

These were my favorite Corvettes back in HS. I thought it looked so much more aggressive than the regular coupe. Then I saw the light.

FRC's don't have the vent in front of the rear wheel...good way to spot the difference.

It is a Z06, unless someone installed fake rear brake cooling ducts just ahead of the rear tires. Real FRC's (99-00) did not have these.

The Z06 features the same body configuration (hardtop) as the FRC.
