You've just been given $50,000 to spend on a luxury car for yourself. It will be your daily driver. Here are the rules:
It can be brand new or pre-owned.
Any body style is acceptable.
You cannot go one penny over $50,000.
It cannot be over 10 years old (MY2005).
I'd have !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! for $49,999. With it, you get 604 horsepower from a massive AMG V12 engine, as well as loads of space, technology, and pure luxury.
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
So... What would you buy in this scenario? Tell me below.

2015 Mercedes C300 sport with premium 1 and multimedia. Might even be able to squeeze in the cranberry leather interior for under 50.

$49,995. A whole lotta sexy going on all at once. Or if not that, I'd get a base Audi A6 brand new.

Hmm, fun challenge. I'd never considered spending that much before on a car. I'd almost be tempted to go for a Mercedes Benz GLA AMG. I think they are right around the $50K mark. Obvious waste of money, but it'd be fun ride.

Aside from the CLA, they're all pretty great. And even the CLA is getting a nice upgrade for 2015. Hopefully they refined the transmission a little with the update too.

EDIT: Didn't see the age limit. Screw modern luxury cars; they are an excuse to burden a vehicle with needless technology. A luxury car should be a timeless, comfortable escape machine. A simple and nice place to be; not an android tablet exhibition center.
I'd buy this and restore it

A Luxury vehicle? I'd probably go with this if I was focusing more on luxury and less on performance. Honestly, everything I've read about it is fantastic. Great interior. The exterior looks damn good in my opinion - derivative, yes, but still good. And you get so fucking many amenities for the cost. Get the V6 with the HTRAC AWD with heated seats? Perfect DD in the winter. Along with the sunroof and ventilated seats for the summer.
Chris McMays
> spanfucker retire bitch

The Genesis is a good choice. If it was in-budget, I would get the V8 model, but the V6 with AWD is the next best thing.

The biggest problem with that car in your scenario is finding one for 50k. I saw one, reserve not met, for 12.5k and one for 56k, both on eBay. It might take some patience and clever negotiating.

That was my thinking exactly, the other car that could compete would be a Maserati Grand Turismo, just because of that ridiculously sexy exhaust note, but I'd much prefer the manual, then just get a nice new exhaust.
