So the Lincoln decided that it was time for it's rear EGR coolant hose to split and leak. That would be the one that's just in front of the firewall and snakes in between a myriad of other parts before it goes back into the rear of the lower intake manifold on a Ford 5.0. I removed the old one and replaced it with a new one. Problem is I can't get the bottom clamp tight with the tools at my disposal. I need about another full turn, possibly more. My 1/4" dog bone ratchet is M.I.A. and would have done the trick rather easily. I'll pick one up tomorrow.... I'm through getting cuts and scrapes for today.

I wonder if these work well. I have a terrible hatred for using flathead screwdrivers on hose clamps.

I either have to come down from straight up top ( which with a standard ratchet does not give me room to swivel ) or use about 15 inches worth of extension. The hose is small. I'm debating a zip tie at this poi t as a temp fix. I'll be pulling the intake soon anyway....
