I'm flying for holiday leave right now, being in the air gives me time to say thanks for everything both in virtual and regular reality that I have. Thank you Oppo for being awesome. Since the lady friend and I are headed away from our cars for a bit I decided to give them a proper wash and cleaning. Here you can see them waking up in the morning.
We had some fun with the R in mud after it rained on Saturday. It was slippery, and the 'R finally got sideways.
So the golf was up first. No issues of course it was only drizzling outside on the road, and since this is a somewhat normal car it handled in a safe predictable manner. Next, the elise had a turn. The roads were soaked from Saturday, a light drizzle falling from above, and the outside temperature was 50°F. The issues began after pulling out of the driveway. I've driven cars that were tail happy and unsettled in the rain. This was nothing I've ever experienced. From the onset it wanted to go back in the garage to its safe place. At 30-40mph on a straight line at 3k RPM you would feel it start to completely go sideways. I believe she was actively trying to kill me because of all the factors mentioned above. Needless to say, I was terrified for the first time behind the wheel. I need new tires ASAP because these all weathers are absolutely horrendous. The prior owner must have been on the drugs. Lesson learned and luckily I didn't have to call insurance for a wrecked car. Here is our dog Lilly in the Lotus.

Dogs in cars, it doesn't get better than that.

You'll notice the window is cracked open and not fully open. She will jump out of a moving vehicle for squirrels.

When we drive in the convertible Lilly has a leash on, but the lotus' window line is actually tall enough she would have to really want to get out. In the golf she only can put her head out for fresh air.

A Lotus with all-season tires on shouldn't ever be a thing. :P
But good golly the paint on your Elise is beautiful!

That's awesome. A lot of cats hate riding in cars.

My friend's dad has an Elise as well and he said it's terrifying to drive in the rain.
There it is. Really killer looking car.

"First, simplify, then add lightness" is, honestly, missing the third part "and hope like heck it doesn't rain".
