Seriously, folks: If you don't have one already, get yourself a 7+gallon air compressor and an impact wrench. You will never feel so giddy and childlike while getting so much done so fast in such an efficient manner.

I used to overboost my Ingersoll-Rand TI impact wrench. The rated torque output is at 80PSI, but the compressor I used at work was set to 120.

Be careful because it evolves over a few years into a 60 gallon 240V compressor and having your own tire machines... and other air tools!

Running mine at 120; the manual says 90. Not sure if I'm worried or not.

It's not that they don't have the pressure; it's the capacity. With my 1.5 gal 100 psi compressor I would exhaust the supply after just a couple bolts, and have to wait for it to pump up again. I just upgraded to a 7 gallon 150 psi (regulated to 120) and it cooks.

Keep it well-lubricated and you should be fine.
