So someone in my area has made this. Looks extremely clean and well done. What does Oppo think of it in general? I've always loved the Magnum so I'm kinda biased. Few more pics after jump.

Other than the paint I really like it.

Looks pretty cool! I think they made these like this in Europe with the previous model.

Love it except the color. Not a fan of matte.

Pretty sure they did as a Lancia.. which is why the swap works so well! Yay for sharing!

I'm liking this a whole lot better than the previous styling, but if someone could do a honeycomb front grill, it would be spot on. This grill is great, but the latest styling for the 300 that's heading to Dealers soon is the best front end, and what the 300C has been needing for about 6 years.

This car looks so much better than every other one I've ever seen. It's up there with the Super Bee swap in terms of how clean it is. The Magnum is a very flexible platform to play with the other LX body styles, and this is really good.

If the swap was straightforward (body panel swapping, plug and play lights, etc) I would do it in a heartbeat to this specifically.

Fuck I'm off to look at the new 300 tails. That setup looks so much better than the stock Magnum tail light.

Look what you've done.....

In general I don't like Chrysler products but I like this.

So they just swapped on some factory trim parts?

I like it!

I really wish Chrysler would have spent more than 15 minutes styling the Magnums face. It's pretty bad that the 300s front end makes the car look 100% better than factory.

The Magnum never made it to a second generation, so there was never a Lancia version. It was sold in Europe as the Chrysler 300 Touring, using the front clip of the 1st gen 300 sedan. In fact, that's why the Dodge Charger and Dodge Magnum never shared any sheet metal at all, the Magnum was actually a derivative of the 300's body.

That trailer looks a bit big, IIRC the V6 Magnums were only rated for 1,000 or 2,000 lbs, depending on if it was the 2.7 or 3.5, and I'd bet the European markets preferred the smaller one.

The diesel was the best seller here and that's rated to tow 4400 pounds (braked). The smaller v6 is rated exactly the same (we got a 3.0 v6 and a 3.5). My girlfriends parents towed a slightly bigger trailer with a 2.2 diesel Rav 4 for years.

I still don't understand why cars in Europe can somehow magically tow more weight than the identical model in the US, our 3.5l Magnum couldn't handle more than 2,000 without voiding the warranty.

No idea, but we have no issues doing so. Just to really put it into perspective for you; my little 1.3 diesel Panda is rated to tow 2000lbs. That is wishful thinking though, trying to tow that would likely be the end of the clutch.

No, I think it's more than that, the interior looks updated as well.

That's not bad looking - hated the 300 when it first came out, but it has really grown on me.

It would look amazing with gloss black paint and stock SRT8 wheels.

There was a Jalop article about this. I cant find it right now though.

Whoever it was managed to make an equation to determine if you had enough car to tow something.

That's the dash from the current generation 300, too. That's a pretty thorough swap.

It looks to me as if they just grafted a magnum rear onto a new 300c.

I'm almost positive this is a Magnum-ized 2011-2014 300, not the other way around. Check out the rear door glass. It's 2 pieces like a current gen 300. The Magnum used a single piece of glass that didn't go to the end of the door. Also, the 1st gen 300/ Magnum's body line bisected the door handles and they didn't have that crease near the bottom of the doors. Finally, I don't think you could make the telematics and cluster work with the old bus architecture without some serious engineering.

I love it, but it confuses the hell out of me. Body is from a new-gen Chrysler 300, rear quarter glass is from a Magnum, rear tails are form a C300, the tailgate and rear look one off?
