Might as well make her first sedan/car in 16 years a sporty one.
Mmm 2.0L turbo, AWD and 0-60 in 6.2 seconds. Plus it's such an attractive car.
And.. I fit in the back of one! At least I did last year when I sat in one at the auto show.
Too bad we don't get the 2.8L turbocharged engine the Opel Insignia OPC gets. That would be awesome. GM should bring it over as the Regal GSX.
Edit: Just realized we'd be going from one rebadged Opel to another. Might as well stick with the theme.

Buick and 'sporty' in the same sentence? I suppose ... things seek to have changed.

?
I thought Saturn was the US branch of Opel/Vauxhall not Buick.

They were until they closed in 2010. Now Buick gets all the Opels.
Encore = Mokka
Verano = Astra Sedan (I think)
And then the Regal and Insignia. We're about the get the Cascada as a Buick too.
The Insignia was actually going to be the new Saturn Aura until Saturn shut their doors.

If I would've known that existed when we bought the Vue, we'd probably own one. But alas, I was 10 and clueless.

I have to imagine that if Saturn stuck around we could get all of these for like $10,000 less because they're Saturns and not Buicks. But I guess we'll never know.

I'd be a little concerned about quality, I viewed an Insignia (EU version of this) and the interior wasn't in great shape. It also had an engine issue that meant we walked away, although that was a diesel engine.

If it was used I'd blame abuse by the PO, these seem to have pretty solid interiors from the factory and are pretty damn nice.
The 2.0T in it over here is used all over GM's lineup, so I'd imagine it's plenty reliable.

Didn't seem to be abused too much and was low mileage, just creaked and rattled a lot with badly fitting trim. It was a low trim level though. The diesel issues are apparently known and specific to that engine so like you say the 2.0T is probably solid.
