This, I discovered on Benzworld.

It's a W123 wagon with a damn brush guard, a hard core roof rack, and offroad-ish tires. This is now inspiring me.

Since I sold my Porsche, I've been looking for my next toy. And in this, I think I've found it. I must now find a W123 turbo diesel wagon, and get a brushguard, roof rack, and put it all together to form the coolest thing since the Panzer.

If you like offroad Benzes you might also want to see this. Australian ''Bush Bash'' 220.

Given the durability of old Benzes, it raises the question if Mercedes actually designed all of its cars to be pounded to hell far away from any paved surface.

You need Saharagelber. I have a sedan, I have mud flaps but I keep wanting to get a mild brush guard and rally lights.

Hello.  I’m the one who built this.  The brush guard is from a Range Rover classic.  Did you ever build one?  I also built a W124 version that was on BAT.
