I agree with you on the looks. A few japanese cars borrowed from the 944's styling including this (which is a rebadged Mitsubishi) and the FC Rx7. TBH I actually think the conquest/starion is a really interesting and underrated car. It had fuel injection and anti lock brakes and a large I4 with a turbo just begging to be tuned.
And really, who doesn't like '80s box flares?

Back in the day, this and the Mitsubishi Starion equivalent were must haves for many.

Mitsubishi and Chrysler slept together a lot in the '80's. The Conquest and the Mitsubishi Starion are identical. Replaced by the Talon and it's derivatives.
