So a Traxxas XO-1 went airborne and crashed rather HARD somewhere.

The whole clip is below, and it comes with a frame-by-frame slow-mo reel!

It's like the CLR crash, only worse-looking. At least the car managed to stay in one piece and run another lap.

Considering this car is in 1:7-scale, though, the real crash would have been too violent. And that's just an understatement.

Don't drive the XO-1 where there is any chance for it to collide with yourself and other people.

Pretty sure it can include other racers if ever a group of XO-1 owners decide to race these on, say, a real hardwood track cycling velodrome, though since I have yet to see an actual grid of nothing but XO-1's, I can only imagine.

Still, thanks for the public service announcement. Good thing the car in the gif lifted off the ground first. At least it shaved off some speed.

Can you annotate that thing you're saying?

Not on my iPad unfortunately. Looks like he hit the line between the original concrete and the patch and it sent him tumbling.

He hit a seam which caused the car to roll.

Fun fact, a couple years ago I met the guy who did the aero work on the XO-1, it's essentially a massive ground effect chassis with electronics on it. Pretty cool stuff.
