Thanks, my childhood flashed before my eyes. This has reminded me of a Christmas a long time ago when I got a 'Just Hits' cassette with this song on it, and a slot car set. Spent many hours racing and listening to the tape. Awesome

Go find the Relient K cover on YouTube. It's one of the few covers that is actually better than the source material.

Just looked it up. They did a good job, but I honestly didn't find it particularly exciting. It was an amazing reproduction of the original, but besides being at a slightly faster tempo and that slow bit at the end it didn't really add anything for me. Better than that garbage Lorde slapped the same title on though.

I thought theirs was ok, but I can't say it's better. There's another cover of it that I think is better, by Ted Leo and the Pharmacists. It's on the Onion's AV Club channel on YouTube.

This is one of those songs that I hated when it came out but now I love it. That is still one of my favorite albums.

I thought this one was better than the Relient K one. I like how he let loose with the guitar solo and kind of made it his own thing. In the end though, I think I like the synth in the original too much to prefer any of these mostly guitar based covers over that version.

That's not bad. I still prefer the Relient K version though. You can just tell they were having a blast playing that song.
