"Reborn Pyrrhic" (pyrrhic)

Here is a very cool video for the new Peugeot 208 GTI 30th, the special edition that commemorates the 30th anniversary since the launch of the 205 GTI 1.6.
The red 205 at the beginning of the video looks just like mine!
Vive la GTI!

I was at a tennis tournament in October and they played this ad at every opportunity. Super cool the first 40 times though.

Porque? Y yo pensaba que el GTI era un automóvil francés!!
Mais, cette voiture est française, alors que j'ai parlé "Vive le GTI"!

but seriously aren't Poojoe (yes thats how I say it)... aren't Peugeot guys supposed to be picky about using the lower case i on they're GTi, because a GTI looks like this.

I feel as though I'm far more inclined to buy a car when someone shows me how it reacts to having missiles fired at it!
Sweet car, wish it was sold here.

That's a nice 1988 205 GTi 1.6 you've got there. It reminds me of a 1988 205 GTi 1.6 parked right in front of my apartment.
The dash on both of these cars is different from the 1984 one though.
One thing I noticed: That little storage compartment above the center heater openings is absolutely perfect for mounting a smartphone.

I see yours is roadworthy again, how do you like driving it? I can't wait to get mine in the USA next month. That car will stick out like a sore thumb here. There are very few small cars, very few 80s cars in good shape, and no French cars anywhere here.

Peugeot itself spells it all upper case.

oh I see. I always thought Peugeot did it differently just to separate the two. I'll just blame my ignorance on the Atlantic Ocean (and the US government's regulations) stopping me from seeing a 205 in the steel.

If you're in Virginia you can see mine in the steel sometime next year.
