Got no sleep due to a family situation. Got no dinner because of a late lunch and the kids ate all of it. Dark & Stormy means I'm half lit at 7:30. It was all copacetic until I stood up. Yawza!

I would argue that Old Brigand is even better, but I don't think they export from Barbados.
I was honeymooning there when our tour stopped at the Mount Gay rummery.
They started handing shots through the window of the van. I was in the middle of the way-back row. I got mine, the lady to my left didn't drink. My (brand new) wife didn't like it and they handed back one more to be sure. I got FOUR shots before I got out of the van. Trashed for the whole afternoon.

indeed, mount gay is my go to run of choice. What's that you have with it?
Also if they have it, rum and fresca is a nice little mixer for the weekends.

(Goslings) Ginger Beer + aged rum = Dark and Stormy.
I make another I call a Buena Vista which is fresh muddled lime and muddled ginger plus rum and ice in the Martini shaker. Shake well. Pour over ice and add equal amount Ginger Beer. Outstanding in the Rain.

As a Bourbon drinker, I am just now getting in to Rum. Anyone here tried Brugal 1888 or Zafra 21-yr? Holy crap they are amazing (especially the Zafra).
