Every Thursday, there's a car meet near me, and I occasionally go just because. The lot always fills up entirely, so there's only enough room for one car per space. The organizer tells everyone to park between the lines. But no, there are always douchebags who don't. So, this time, I took it upon myself to leave a sticky note on every offending car, simply saying "One car, one spot." But one of the owners noticed me doing this, and he proceeded to follow me around for the rest of the night, giving me that sort of look that says "You're gonna die." Eventually he got tired and left, but still.
By the way, this is the worst offender. He does this every single time, and I think next week I'm going to arrive early and put nails there. This is inexcusable douchebaggery:

But there are a few good people there, and it's the only car-related thing in the whole county! D:

Douchebags are going to be douchebags and assholes are going to be assholes. You're not going to get one to say: "You know what? Maybe next week I'll park normally …. then the week after take this stupid Rolls grill off my car."

That sucks. No autocrosses or anything? I've always found them to be way friendlier and more responsible places to hang out with car people than meets. There are too many egos and too much drama at car meets for me.

Nails would be a bad idea, what if they punctured a tyre on a wheelchair ? :o

Well there's no reason to get hurt over it. It's supposed to be fun. Maybe print some "meet rules" and have people hand them out as people pull in. Things like no burnouts, reving, double parking.

Actually, the meet has been moved to different locations about a dozen times now because of these people (and the ones who stay late and do donuts when the lot is empty). They keep getting us kicked out, and we always lose some of the best cars after each move. Originally, there were Ariel Atoms, Aventadors, classics, rare imports including actual Skylines, all sorts of stuff. Now, the best car is a single GTR that shows up once a month and drives through the lot without stopping before going home.
I figure if people start actually caring, we might get a permanent location again, and maybe the vendor sponsors will come back. These assholes have beaten the meet into the ground from a quality car show to a group of ugly Integras.

That's implying that handicapped people use the handicapped spots. Normally it's just lazy fat and old people with a "medical condition."

There are rules, exactly like those. The problem is that no one listens to the organizer. I think I'm going to start tipping off the police to swing by and hand out real tickets or at least written warnings next time.

It's possible, but I don't know of any. There's one group that seems nice, but they only do road rallies which cost $20 to join each time. I can't afford to pay for these things unless it's a one-time membership fee.

Oh, I know. I'll fully admit it, too. The difference is I'm only a douchebag to the douchebags; these guys are the reason our one wheelchair-bound enthusiast can't come anymore. And I'm not just saying that.

Next time, take a picture of the license plate instead, and show it to a passing police officer. Nothing like a $250 ticket (that results in suspension if you don't pay) to keep douchebags off the handicap zone.

Damn that sucks, but its just like that here in the states too. Getting a single place in Detroit to meet up thats not Cars and Coffee is surprisingly hard.
Damn Mustang bros ruined all f the good spots the last few years with burnouts and the like, then last summer got the last good place shut down. Some kid lost control, hit a crowd of people and then fled.

$20 for a road rally sounds like one hell of a deal. Check the SCCA website's Solo schedule. They usually have all of them listed. NASA also has some, and in other areas, it's covered by a hodge-podge of various Porsche/Bimmer/OtherCar club, but they're almost always open to other makes. There's almost guaranteed to be one within an hour of you.

It does, but I need a navigator and all my friends are off at college. Not to mention there's no prize, so I'm kind of suspicious about where all the money goes.

Why not ask him what the fuck are you looking at?
I mean I wouldn't put notes on cars but if someone's grilling me I'm going to ask if I know them and if they say no then the next thing out of my mouth is what the fuck are you looking at me for then.

It costs money to put on events between insurance, timing equipment, permits, hiring the police, and everything else that goes into it. My local autocross probably brings in about $5k a month in revenue, but we also rent an airport, have insurance, timing equipment, an RV to act as the timing tower, and they provide food. I don't think that anyone's actually making any money at it, and if there is a little left over, I don't care. Alot of work goes into it. There's probably some sort of local street racing or car forum for your area. You should be able to find a co-driver there no problem. There's also craigslist. Think about how often enthusiasts trawl CL for cars that they won't buy. If they see an ad asking to ride along at a car event, I'm sure that most would be chomping at the bit to get involved.

The only time I would leave a note on someone's car for parking like a dick is when the following 2 criteria have been met:
1) As best you can tell, they're not around.
2) You're about to leave.
That way, when they return to their poorly-parked car, they don't know who left them the note, and they can't retaliate.

The problem there is that if they DID see me, they'd know which car is mine. I made a point not to get in until they were gone, just in case they wanted to do some actual damage.

Truth be told, you'd be surprised how many people actually don't want to fight anyone but think "hey if I grill this guy and look all tough he'll be too scared to say shit to me" but when you pull their card they fold like dried clothes.

YI know in Atlanta they have had to change location a few times in the past and not tell the trouble makers about it. Eventually they find out where it is somehow though. You could try that. Or pay an off duty police officer to enforce the rules one meet. Sometimes they won't come back after that. Our meets are so big now they have 5 or 6 officers keeping peace and directing traffic.

At a car meet like this where everybody's hanging out in the parking lot, it would be very difficult to meet the criteria.
I'm talking about like, you go to the grocery store and you see someone parked shittily on your way back out to your car. Then you can leave a note on their car and bounce.
Otherwise you're just setting yourself up for confrontation. And really, if you cause a confrontation with someone you don't know, they could turn out to be a crazy person.
Which, well, if they're parking a purple Dodge Charger with a "Rolls Royce" grille in the blocked-out space between two handicap spots, they might be a crazy person.
