But then stuff like this comes along and ruins it....
Cuz bro, ain't got no fuks given, cuz I'm a scene maker and I don't care about what anyone thinks and smashing the wall hurdurdur and having a hooptie ride which was clean but I destroyed is so cool cuz breaking standards hurdurdur.

I never understand why they pay for bodykits they fully intend to destroy in the near future. You can smash up a stock bumper all the same.

I love clean, tasteful S13's and S14's.

It makes me wonder if there's a market for buying these that have been all clapped out and restoring them to stock...

It's not about the function, its about the holistic style. That's like asking why people would ever pay to go to a movie theater when they could just download it illegally or watch it on netflix.

This is the product of brokeasses who know they're broke, but just don't want to admit it. But their taste in modifications totally shouts it.

I understand modifying a car for purely aesthetic reasons it just makes little sense when those modifications will be reversed the first time you slap a wall. Fussing over buying body kits is kind of opposite to the "aint care" attitude propogated by some drifters.
It makes sense for competitve cars to be done up since they have to look eye catching, or people who can drive well enough that their bumpers stay attached. But putting cash into missile cars or beaters just seems strange is all.

After you crunch the rear quarter in a drift gone bad it's cheaper to pound it back out and put an over fender on it, then it is to clean it up and paint it.

Fun fact: you can drift a clean car.

True.
This guy said hes had waaay more fun drifting and scraping walls than he ever did worrying about dings, bugs on the paint, or using the latest greatest wax.
I guess my point is just because its got a dent or two, doesnt mean the owner doesnt care about the car.

This is a thing of beauty.
This picture alone makes me want to import one. I always loved the S13 Silvia.

mmmm narrowbodies
I wonder if narrowbody style is going to come into vogue. I mean, you can only go so much wider than RWB, and they've been there, done that.
When I see a narrow Starion build on Speedhunters, I'll know it's happened.

There was an absolutely mint narrowbody Starion with the turbo engine swapped in slightly lowered on Fifteen52s and wrapped a light cream on LA craigslist. $3500. It was gone SOOOOO quick.

I'm in Canada mate! I could probably import a mint one for closer to $6500-$7000. I would love one in that same two tone green/grey color.

Me too, but it's gooooone. Actually, maybe it was widebody. I don't know, my only hope is to hope it's at the Japanese Classic Car Show next year. There was a minty widebody Starion and a fender-flared LS powered track beast

It's easier to repair fiberglass body kit than it is to fix sheet metal.
