It is obviously just an AMG badged E420 but it looks so good and seems so clean, plus those wheels are awesome and the color is just spot-on.

I dislike any instance of false badging. It is a cool car, but loose any fake badges.

I seriously dislike the fake badging and I don't trust someone who does that. But the car is nice.

That is just some reference, the actual car is the green one, the one on the link.

Hah! 2 weeks ago a friend of mine was shopping for an E39 540i. I pitched this same car on Webmotors. There was another cool AMG badged E, but I can't remember what it was.
Also, there are two 300D on Webmotors, and I have no idea how these cars could be registered here (if it is an actual 300D). So much want.

It's so rare to find Mercedes wagons here, I found two of them and the pricing isn't all that bad. I don't trust the 300D's as I don't know how legislation for old diesels cars work around here.

My personal preference for a wagon would be diesel, but that's me. As my Portuguese is non-existant, please tell me - is it armored?

Yeah, the AMG badging needs to go.

We don't have diesels here, government only allows 4X4 trucks and SUVs to run on diesel. This one isn't, but I found another one (cheaper, lower mileage) that is.

But now I'm thinking, is it really rebadged or is the ad wrong? (Even the speedo is AMG)

then it could be an AMG. Although dials are easy to switch.

Huh - wonder if that position will evolve now that 'clean' diesels are available.

I doubt it, protecting their (our?) ethanol and petrol companies are much more important to them.

I'll look into it, I have never seen an E-Class wagon in the wild. These are unbelievably rare here.

Am I the only one who thinks this gen Mercedes just looks...half-finished? It attempts to look '90s curvy but it's still 80's boxy, like a Super NES trying to do 3D graphics. The belt-sanded curves and many-holed wheels make it almost grandmotherly. And not the fun grandmother, either. The one who scowls at mixed-race couples and has to be reminded every day that her husband is dead, and doesn't even leave you any money in the will. The one after this looks much more thought out.
Also, that rear-end is atrocious, especially in that first-wife soccer-mom shade of decayed white. Black's better, but give it a proper ass-end.
45,000R for that?!

420 wagon. Great engine, great car. We got E320s & E55s. Even finding a good 320 wagon Stateside is hard anymore, because either the owners covet them, or they've been hammered into oblivion. An E55 longroof would be the balls, but those are exceedingly rare.

Finding a wagon Mercedes is hard here, they are really rare. I also found a Brabus V12 wagon once, but miles were high and the price was ludicrous.

There are a few that live near me. Mostly W211 and W212, but I see a few W210 estates on occasion.

All the estates here came from embassies I think. Mercedes never officially sold estate versions here.
(Also, so freaking clean: http://www.webmotors.com.br/comprar/merced… )

That is clean. Not liking the grey bumper strips, but those are easy to remove.
