"sm70- why not Duesenberg?" (sm70-whynotduesenberg)

If ever a car looked like it should only exist as a wagon, it is the current CLS. The first generation was a thing of beauty, due to its simple design. The new one has styling that is more complex, and not nearly as beautiful. But the wagon. Sweet mother of God. It's the most beautiful wagon on sale in the world right now. The lines are perfect. It looks sleek and low and clean and fast, just like a CLS should. In AMG format, it's basically perfection. And we don't get it here in the states, because we would rather have the GLE.
Think about that for a moment.

So does an old Jag XJ. Doesn't change much.

Too bad we don';t get the CLS and CLA wagons. Or the A-class hatchback.
But at least we still get the E-class wagon with a third seat, hood ornament, and windows you can actually see out of.

Hood ornaments are a plus in this case.

1st gen = awful.
2nd gen = better.

What do you prefer about the 2nd gen?

I'd agree with you, but then I really would be wrong.

Just remember a buddy of mine and me walking on 52nd street, and we saw our first gen 1 CLS ... we both reacted instantly - WHO SQUASHED AN S CLASS? The AMG version of 2nd Gen (like Ray Donovan's car) is better looking. I still do not quite understand this class of 4-doors.

Best one so far, the front looks cohesive.

I haven't come across one yet, but I've been told the newest E63 does not have the jump seats
