2015 Mustang GT Perf Pack or 2013 BOSS 302?
My dad just asked me straight up. What would I rather have. I said BOSS 302 cause it's a BOSS and it would be better track car/ handling car.
He comes back with didn't they take most of the stuff from the boss and put it in the 15GTPP and I was like ya. He then says it will be faster. and I'm like wat?
Will someone do this comparo?
Like 2015 GT PP vs 2013 Boss 302?
Road & Track you out there?

On a track, the Boss is probably faster. In the real world you probably wouldn't know the difference. The '15 could probably be had for cheaper, with a vastly improved interior. I would definitely take the '15.

BOSS. Not only is it more hard core, at least in Laguna Seca trim, it will always hold its value better.

Fyi, the new '15 GT has a coyote engine that's carried over a lot of parts from the Boss 302 program so it's basically an almost-Boss 5.0 but with IRS and not carrying a collector's price premium.

I haven't driven the '15 yet but I would have a reaaaaaally hard time not getting the BOSS.

I'd take the Boss all day every day. Especially the '13. That's the better of the 2 years of the Boss.

you beat me to it
BOSS for retaining as much asset value as possible
i should have got a 996 GT3 or higher mileage 997.1 GT3 instead of my year old 12K miles 997.2 C2. the GT3 would be going up in value right now instead of down.

That's fully loaded, correct? Either way, the '15 is the better deal.

The BOSS 302 would retain its value better, but I'd personally go for the GT due to the IRS (more comfortable), better interior, and (if the reviews are to be believed) better steering feel. If you don't end up autocrossing/tracking it, then the actual handling won't matter as much IMO.
On the other hand, I'd wait to buy a GT since there are apparently no plans to update MFT-equipped cars to Sync 3.

....And the better stripe package, better tail lights too. I have a 13' GT, but would trade it in on a Boss in an instant if I didn't have a second car payment right now.

Meh I have used MFT and it's easy for me to use, also I do plan on tracking the car if I move to Kansas City.

Actually my '13 is Grabber Blue just like the one you have above. The good thing is I do have the Premium package, so it has the leather/sync/interior lighting and stuff. I like all of it, but would rather have the boss with the recaros.

I have a '11 GT with the first gen touch screen and the special int package and all that jazz but I would give it all up for the BOSS

I got a lot of seat time in an '11 RTR a few years ago and it really changed my opinion of Mustangs. Granted, the RTR is not a "normal" Mustang, but still.

My heart says Boss 302, because Boss god-damn 302. My head says 15 for daily use, but then Boss 302 again because, again, Boss 302. So...Boss 302. In yellow or that yellow orange color. Oh, or blue with white graphics, that's also acceptable.

I see. Figure out which one puts down better numbers if you put that above all else; you could probably compare specs from Motor Trend reviews and such.
Insofar as the MFT goes, I'd rather just have the most up-to-date system, especially since Sync 3 includes over-the-air updates IIRC.

Believe it or not the 2015 GT is faster around a track than the BOSS 302 (according to Autoblog).

Honestly, it's a no-lose situation. Not like you've got a 50/50 shot at either a Mustang or a first gen Hyundai Sonata, you know? Definitely just two different styles of winning here, haha.

I like the Boss better. It's more exclusive

It all depends on what you want.
The Boss is rare, feels more raw and is less comfortable. It'll work as a DD though. Plus it's a special car.
The 15 GT PP is faster, more capable, comfortable and essentially better in every way. But you lose so much of that muscle car feeling. You won't feel as fast despite being faster. And they'll be everywhere soon.
It's a hard decision. Personally I love how fast my Mach feels. By today's V8's it's slow but it feels so much faster then my father's 5.0. I would go Boss for that same reason. I don't mind not having a lot of features. I'd say it's already well equipped. So unless you have to have all of that new technology, then I would go Boss.

You want to know why the Boss is so great? It is a manual only car. That means posers, grandmas, and frat boys will not own one. It is universally respected by any and all car geeks. A 2015 Mustang is not. Furthermore you can be that guy who got a 2015 Mustang like everyone else of you can be the guy who bought a future legend. Your choice. I know what I would pick.
