I want to but the S2000 motor and transmission in a 944. To both make a crazy track machine, and to piss off Porsche purists. Anyone else got a crazy engine swap idea?

Ecoboost 2.0T into a Panther. Because some of us are happy with the mid-200s power output of the standard Modular V8 (hence why I didn't say the 3.5) but want a more modern, efficient engine.

Twin turbo VK45DE inside a 240Z.

I don't think that would help mileage actually. The secret to the Panther's mpg is the 4.6 doesn't really have to work.

the one I just thought of today was the fost motor in the mid 2000's focus wagon body for an awesome sleeper wagon

Years ago a buddy gave up on building a SCCA s2K after racing neons. I threatened buying s2k motor he had and swapping it into metro.

Thus I still drive the 1.0 around and have never done an engine swap.

I want to put a Nissan SR20DET into a BMW E30 M3.

I also want to put a Honda B18 into a Chrylser Imperial or Newport.

3 Cylinder ecoboost into a classic Mustang. It makes similar power to the original 6-cylinder, and would leave a hilariously empty looking engine bay.

I think it would level out the mileage rather than so much wholly increase it. My MGM will always get a good 27 mpg on the highway, if not more, but you have to baby it to get 20-21 around town. Put your foot down and you can cut that by 5 mpg atleast. I would think with the 2.0T and some creative gearing it would get mid-20s all the time

With that much weight though, it would probably spend most of it's time on boost. That's why a vast majority of Ecoboost F-150 owners get worse mileage than the previous gen 5.4.

Yamaha V8 out of the Volvo XC90 into a 740 wagon

Kinja'd!!!

Or if you wanna get really retarded, the 3.4 V8 from the 3rd gen Taurus SHO into my friends broken Civic hatch

Kinja'd!!!

And part of me wants to throw the 4.3 from my Blazer into the busted e28 533i sitting in my friends garage, and make the worlds worst rat rod that's probably slower than it used to be

Kinja'd!!!

It looks like that, but with no hood, grilles, valence, one set of headlights, and an utterly dead M30.

My ideas aren't the good kind of crazy

Here's my bat-shit craziest.

Take the entire drivetrain, front subframe and suspension from a Cobalt SS. Permenantly afix the tie rod, and stick it in the back of a second gen Corvair.

I guess so. Ford has put the 2.0T in heavier things (Edge, Explorer), I just suggested it since the OP asked for 'crazy' drivetrain swaps. The 3.5 Ecoboost, Coyote, etc. would be a no brainer.
