So for the uninitiated, the PE is an 8 hour test that tests you on everything in civil engineering. It sucked. But I passed! I'm now a licensed civil engineer in the state of Tennessee.

Wow, based off of how most of the students in the engineering departments at my school talk, I thought all you had to do to call yourself an engineer was be in an engineering major.
Joking aside though, that's awesome. Congratulations.

Great thing about being an ME. Never had to take it. Congratulations.

And that's 5% of why I'm an ME and not a CE. That and playing with 3D printers and getting paid for it.

Nice. Here in Canada once that exam is passed you get to go to the ceremony of the iron ring.

Now, just remember: MechE's make weapons, CivE's make targets.

We actually did that when we graduated from engineering school. But mine is stainless steel. The ring is one of my favorite parts of being an engineer, cause I'm a dork.

I realized that. I'm an ME. Therefore, never had to take it. Congrats again

You copycats! The iron ring is a canadian tradition that Americans started steeling in the 70's!
Congratulations on all your success. My dad and brother are both engineers. One electrical and one mechanical.
