Toyota Classic, based on the 5th-gen Hilux chassis and designed to resemble Toyota's first production car, the AA. The engine underneath is a 3Y-E 2 liter 4 cylinder engine and a 4-speed automatic.
Only 100 of them were built.

Once again I am disappointed in all of you. This is clearly the test mule collaboration between Plymouth and Crosley developed back the early 1960s. Featuring 2 wheel drive (left front, right rear), worm and sector steering, a 800cc 4 cylinder 2-stroke engine capable of 0-60 times characteristic of the time, cable brakes, and optional vinyl wood trim (a first in the industry!), the car was to go on sale on November 22, 1963, but events intervened. A later attempt by Plymouth to resurrect the project failed horribly when the engine offered in the new car was even worse. And it was uglier.
Behold, the family resemblance:

Did it come with a turbo encabulator or was that an optional extra?

This was discussed, but it failed to make it to the design phase. Talks broke down when Plymouth insisted on the square steering wheel of the period and Crosley insisted on reverting to an earlier style - the tiller arrangement, made famous by the 1 horsepower Benz horseless carriage .

Isn't that the newer Toyota made to look like the first Toyota ever made. I have seen it in Japan. Clearly it isn't the original.
