Let's guesstimate the amount of horsepower that the new GT350 has. Ford said it'll have over 500, but my guess is over 9000.

What do you guys think?

It will have one hp for every engine rev, and it will have one rev for every dollar of MSRP.

I thought I remember when the last GT500 came out they were claiming "more than 600 hp," and it turned out to be 660-ish.

I'd bet Ford's "more than 500" is into the 550 range. (gotta beat that LS7)

Like the ZL1/GT500 battle, the Ford will outperform the Z/28 with horsepower rather than chassis/suspension prowess.

All guesses, but should be fun to watch!

They also said "more than 300" for the ecoboostang and it turned out to be 310.

525-575, it can't outperform the inevitable GT500 which will (probably) have a bit over 600.

Mercs M156 sits between 560 and 620 and it's 6.2 liters. I'm guessing 520. Considering all other high horsepower N/A motors out there currently I can't imagine it being over that.

I think the GT350 will be more competitive with the ZL1. The Z/28 is at a different level.

Very true. Good point.

I bet higher into the 500s so that is separates itself from the LS7. (Which it better since that engine is pretty old by now.)
