Looks like I'll be getting a piddling $1,100 for it, but at least it will be out of my parent's garage. Have a Bizzarrini P538 Barchetta for your time.

what kind of Jeep engine are you getting $1100 for?

Put the Jeep engine in the P538

For that I would need a P538. Also, the Jeep engine is too manly and hairy-chested for the Bizzarrini.

4.6L Titan stroker. Bought for the Cherokee as an eventual replacement engine, then I wrecked the Cherokee.

damn ok that is worth it. I know you weren't pulling $1100 out of a stock 4.0l! BTW I have access to a free Cherokee sport needing a head gasket. I have never had to go into a 4.0 for much except fishing collapsed lifters out of it. Pretty straightforward on the gasket?

I am in the middle of doing the headgasket on one right now! I've only just cleared out the airbox, gotten the manifolds off and am just now to the point of being ready to remove head bolts though.

Oh yeah I saw that but someone already got the right answer. Let me know how it goes, if you run into anything. You bringing the head to the machine shop to get it decked or just running with it?

I'm probably just going to run with it. It don't think it got super hot or anything to warp it. I will make the call when I get it off and cleaned up though.

Whyfor is extended ellipses?

good call. I just dont know much about the internals to know if it is one you really should deck because it is so long. Some cars I know they arent going to need it, some I dont want to mess with twice (Land Rover 4.0l etc)

Yep. Pretty straight forward. It's easy to reach everything as well.

The Name Titan stroker just begs for a joke, but I couldn't decide on one. So I let the long pause of the ellipses stand in to note that there should be something there. Titan stroker titan stroker titan stroker. Sounds like a greek mythology themed gay porn.
But for reals, I would love to put one in my jeep.

260hp - enough to wake up any 4.0L Jeep!

I think advertised was 295lb-ft., but I want to say 330lb-ft for some reason.

I feel like a new transmission would be involved at that point.

If you're lucky enough to have an AX15 it would be OK, but the Peugeot model mine had would probably have disintegrated.

I have the AW4 :-(. So your jeep was from the 80's?

The AW4 would be fine - they can handle a mildly-built small block V8. Mine was a 1988, which meant it had the Renix injection system, so the engine is only good for a 1987-1990 XJ/MJ unless you plan on swapping the head.
