So help me, because I'm a newbie on some level.

That's a 3/4 race cam in a v8, sound? It's not just a timing thing, it's a physical thing, right?

If my goal was to go in a straight line, that'd be my ride. (I'm unconvinced it has the Bullitt car dynamics - which I still lust after all these decades. "Steve! The fucking script says to skid around the corner, what the fuck is wrong with your car!!?)

That burble is unbelievable. I swear you can hear every single cylinder firing individually. Amazing.

The cam does create the lumpy idle. It's not something you can recreate with carburetor tuning or ignition timing. Exhaust duration (the amount of time the exhaust valve is open) and overlap (the amount of time the exhaust and intake valves are open at the same time) are big factors in making this happen.

If you notice early in the video when it is idling and seems like it is about to die, It could either be that the engine is cold and the choke is off or he has the idle set very low to exaggerate the effects of the cam.
