Within the next few months I'm picking up a pair of Recaro ProSport's for my older boys. That brings the car seat total to ~$1,300 in 4 years.

Well, the good news is, you can sell them on Craigslist for upwards of 5% of their original purchase price .... Shit.

I'm at close to a grand in two years, as my daughter regularly rides in both mine and my wife's car, so we've had to double-up on them. Now we've got number two comming in May.

If you travel by air make sure the Recaros are aircraft certified. we were going to buy one a few years ago and it wasn't ok for planes. I was bummed because it matched the Recaros in my Evo.
