It's somehow the perfect combination of caring and not caring. Speed but not scary speed, pull more than a G but still break the tail loose whenever you want, have some sexy wide body but give no fucks about paint.

I want. Lago should quit journalism and open a shop. That or Chevy should give the Camaro pop up headlights.

This was such a cool build. Stuff like this makes me want to drop a LS into my E36 :)

Probably cheaper than trying to build or swap anything from BMW.

Depends, I could drop a S54 from the E46 M3 in and keep most of the same parts. The main things to change are the fuel pump, lines and injectors, exhaust, ECU tuning and wiring harness. I can reuse 90% of all the accessories and the E36 transmission will bolt right up to the S54. If I want to do a 6-spd swap and fix known issues on the S54 it gets a little spendier.

The LS swap is a little more involved. I'd need a new transmission, driveline, fueling, engine and transmission mounts, shifter, tuning. There's some plug and play stuff I can buy from Vorshlag (mounts + hardware and headers) to the tune of $3k and I don't even have the motor yet.

To do either build reliably you're looking at $5-10k+.
