They found my car in Oakland. Predictably, it's been "majorly stripped" but the person who called hadn't seen the car so it's all up in the air. Hopefully this just meant that they left enough of the shell behind that I can at least make a few hundred bucks off what's left.
I didn't want to start my weekend like this. :/
Thanks to all who did keep an eye out, though. If you are ever in this situation, you bet I will keep an eye out for your car/bike/boat/whatever.

Sorry man, having stuff stolen is fucking infuriating. Obviously not of the same value, but I had a nice bike stolen and it wasn't necesarily the loss that bothered me, it was that some dickhead was benefiting from it.

I'm sorry man. My uncle had a '99 TL stolen from his work parking lot - it was just a shell when they found it. The police said it was a likely professional gang and they never collared anyone for it. Hope these assholes are brought to justice.

That really sucks dude. This is why I keep saying the penalties for car theft need to be drastically increased. Right now somebody caught stealing a car can be in jail for a few hours and be back out on the street stealing cars again in hours.
