Ran across some interesting cars on the walk to lunch today:

Mercedes S63 AMG. Mmm, bi-turbo V8 with 577 hp and decadent interior...

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

Red Jaguar E-Type roadster cruising around with the top down.

Spotted this pristine Alfa Romeo Spider and had to cross the street to take a few photos. As I was finishing taking some photos, the owners (middle-aged couple) were walking up and identified themselves. They said this Alfa was actually found in a barn with 12,000 original miles on it. The interior was beautiful. The paint was perfect. I told them I was happy they were driving it and bid them a good day. I walked away very envious of their perfect little Italian roadster.

The only thing is, they don't automatically unfold themselves when you turn the car back on, so typically when I've folded them I try to look in the mirror and get very confused for a couple seconds.

That does actually sound like a reason not to.

That seems strange they don't auto unfold, perhaps a setting that needs to be changed?

There's a button on the mirror adjuster control to fold/unfold them. So I'll park in a tight spot, fold the mirrors, go do whatever it is I was planning to do, then come back to the car and forget that I folded the mirrors in spite of them being folded right there in front of my face. Then I start it up and start looking over my shoulder like "why can't I see what's behind me durrr?"

Gotcha. I accidentally folded ours back on the highway on our first day with our new car. Took me a second to realize what I did (even though they told us at the dealership how to manually fold them) and to get them to unfold. People around me were probably somewhat confused.

I work in a pretty affluent area in Denver. Seeing cars like these is a regular occurrence (and it's one of the reasons I like working where I do!).
