F30 BMW with an offset racing strip. Yay or Nay?

Nope, asymmetric racing stripes are OK but this one isn't getting it done, owing mostly to that grille and the complete lack of compatibility with the stripe.

If it's not being constantly tracked/autox'd/rallyx'd, then no.

I'm not a fan of stripes on BMWs, especially street-driven BMWs.
Save that stuff for something 'Murrican.

Nope. Makes it look like a 16 year old trust fund kid got a Bimmer and is adding a stripe package.

YUUUUP. do it. Beige is boring.

Yay if inbetween the light and vent instead.

I'm not a fan. The only bimmer that can rock the offset stripe is, at least I think, the E87 1-series.

This is terrible, far worse than the headline. Although I guess it goes with the murrican thing. Sorry.

What if it's driven by somebody older? Does it look like a mid-life crisis?
![]() 12/12/2014 at 11:59 |

Yeah, I don't mean these stripes look better, just that when I think racing stripes, I think 'Murrica, not Ze Germans.

Yep, that one does look pretty sweet.

I wouldn't say mid-life crisis. Just someone who is driving a car that isn't his.
Maybe it's the body design, but the F30 just can't pull it off IMHO

Neigh. Or Nay. Or No. Or please don't do it.
